　　About Kate Metcalf:

　　Kate Metcalfe is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Arizona with Dr. Paul Kapp. She is visiting the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research this summer on a fellowship funded by NSF and MOST. Her dissertation project investigates the subduction and collision history of the southern margin of Asia recorded in the Indus-Yarlung suture zone in southern Tibet. This talk will focus on detrital geochronology of sandstones found in the sedimentary-matrix mélange and surrounding units.
